Glendale, Arizona, Writer Scott Thybony presents stories and images from Northern Arizona's intriguing Painted Desert. He
focuses on a corner of this landscape -- a hoodoo land of wind-carved
cliffs and shifting dunes lying at the heart of the desert. He tells
the story through the lives of an eccentric anthropologist, a
pioneering biologist, a movie star, and a half-crazed prophet who
believed he had discovered the construction site of Noah's Ark.
