Grand Canyon Camping and Campgrounds
Camping is allowed in and around the Grand Canyon and requires varying degrees of advanced planning, depending on where you want to go. To camp in the Canyon itself, you need to apply months in advance for a backcountry permit. There are also many developed campgrounds in the Park and close by where you can car camp or hike in with minimal notice. Call in advance, particularly in the summer, for reservation procedures and availability.
